As we become more isolated and separate from each other, we do well to be reminded that, as Fannie Lou Hamer famously proclaimed, “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free!” Eric Massanari, Executive Conference Minister of PNMC, brings a reminder that Jesus’ resurrection and appearances to his disciples calls them – and us – back into togetherness. The revelation to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus had them running back into community, knowing that only together could they experience and share Jesus’ love, justice and salvation.
