Week Five: Change & Transformation

Our child has a birthday soon.  As every parent knows, crossing the yearly threshold of their child’s birthday is a poignant experience of releasing the blessings of the past to make way for growth that God is unfolding new. In what ways is God leading us into new places of insight and experience? Now in our fifth week of the “Within Reach” worship series, we contemplate ‘Change and Transformation’ in our lives together. Using the image of Jesus the Good Shepherd as context for our contemplation, we ponder the question of how we are called to embrace change – both that which is extended to us through circumstance, and that which we willingly take on -- with intention and graceful transformation.
